UFOops! · SerenadeVR

Privacy policy

Effective date and last updated: 21 September 2026

The short version: UFOops! saves your progress on your headset. We do not run player analytics, advertising, or a player-account system. VR input is processed locally for gameplay. If you email us, we receive the information you choose to send. This website is hosted by GitHub Pages.

1. Who we are and what this covers

SerenadeVR ("we", "us", or "our") develops UFOops!, a VR game for Meta Quest. This policy explains how we handle information in the current Early Access version of UFOops!, on this official website, and when you contact us for support or about your privacy.

2. Information processed while you play

  • Local game progress. UFOops! stores mission progress, completed tasks, earned credits, unlocked worlds, upgrades, and vehicle-abduction charges in local save files on your device. These files let you continue playing where you left off. We do not receive or upload these saves to a SerenadeVR server.
  • VR input and tracking. The game processes headset and controller position, orientation, button input, and tracking status in real time to display your view, move your virtual hands, and operate the UFO. We do not record this motion history or transmit it to our servers.
  • Local device operation. The game and its VR runtime use device and input information needed to render the experience and support the controllers. We do not collect this information in a developer-run analytics or profiling service.

The current game does not require a separate SerenadeVR account. We do not use in-game advertising, third-party advertising identifiers, developer-run gameplay analytics, or automatic developer crash-report uploads. UFOops! does not request access to your microphone, camera, contacts, or personal photos and media.

Meta operates the headset, store, and account services separately. Information processed by Meta is governed by the Meta Platforms Technologies Privacy Policy and your platform settings. This policy describes our own handling of information; it does not replace Meta's policy.

3. Information you send us

If you email Rushgear49@gmail.com, we receive your email address, any name shown in your email, your message, and any attachments you choose to include. For example, you may send a description of a problem, your headset model, or a screenshot.

We use this information to respond to you, investigate the issue you reported, and handle privacy requests. Please do not send passwords, payment details, or information that is not needed for your request. We do not add support contacts to a marketing mailing list.

4. Visiting this website

This is a static website hosted on GitHub Pages. We do not add advertising, analytics trackers, contact forms, or tracking cookies. Images, styles, and fonts are served with the site rather than loaded from advertising or font-tracking services.

When your browser requests a page or file, GitHub and its infrastructure providers may process technical information such as your IP address and request details to deliver and secure the site. Their handling is described in the GitHub Privacy Statement. Links to other websites are governed by those websites' own policies when you visit them.

5. Sharing and service providers

We do not sell personal information or share it for targeted advertising. Our email service provider, Google, processes support correspondence to deliver and store email. See the Google Privacy Policy. GitHub provides website hosting as described above.

We may disclose information when required by law or when reasonably necessary to protect users, address security or fraud, or establish or defend legal rights. Providers may process information in countries other than your own under their applicable privacy terms and safeguards.

Where applicable privacy law requires a legal basis, we process support correspondence to provide the assistance you request and for our legitimate interest in responding to enquiries and resolving problems. We may also retain or disclose information to meet legal obligations.

6. Retention and security

Local save files remain on your device until you remove the game's stored data or uninstall it, subject to any backup or restore features controlled by the platform. We cannot remotely access or erase those files.

We retain support correspondence for as long as reasonably needed to resolve your enquiry and related follow-up, unless a longer period is necessary for a legal obligation or a dispute. You can request deletion sooner using the contact method below. Our service providers manage their own operational records under their policies.

We use reasonable measures to protect information we handle, including access controls on our support email account. No method of storage or transmission can be guaranteed completely secure.

7. Your choices and deletion requests

To ask us to access, correct, or delete information you have sent us, email Rushgear49@gmail.com with the subject "UFOops! Privacy Request". Tell us what you want us to do and, if possible, send the request from the address used for the original correspondence. We may ask for limited information needed to verify the request; please do not send identity documents unless specifically requested and necessary.

We will respond within the time required by applicable law. If we must retain some information for a legal obligation or to establish, exercise, or defend legal claims, we will explain the reason and limit its further use.

To delete local game progress, remove UFOops!'s stored app data using your device's available controls or uninstall the game. This resets locally stored progress. If the platform restores a backup, manage that backup through the platform's controls or support. Contact us if you need help identifying the relevant game data.

Depending on your location, you may also have rights to restrict or object to processing, receive a copy of your information, or complain to your local data-protection authority. You can contact us to exercise applicable rights regardless of where you live. Requests about data independently held by Meta or GitHub should be directed to those providers.

8. Younger players

We do not ask players to provide personal information through the game, and we do not use advertising or player profiling. Use of UFOops! remains subject to the game's store age rating and Meta's account, age, and parental-supervision requirements.

If you are a parent or guardian and believe a child has sent us personal information, contact us so we can review and delete it where appropriate. Younger players should ask a parent or guardian to contact support on their behalf.

9. Changes to this policy

We may update this policy as UFOops! develops. We will post the revised policy here and update the date above. If a change materially affects how we handle information, we will provide additional notice or obtain consent where required before the change takes effect.
